Title: Playing-Card-Style Valentine Above is my Valentine Cards. This is my first project using InDesign and I would be lying if I said that I had no trouble with it. I barely finished it on time, but considering everything that seemed to go wrong, I think they turned out pretty good. On the left is the front and on the right is the back.
Title: Inauguration Invitation An invitation to this weeks Inauguration of our new President, Donald Trump. I feel that this could have turned out a little better, since I don't have the Inaugural Committee seal included, however I did try everything I knew, but for one reason or another it wouldn't work. Though considering my difficulties, I don't think it turned out half bad.
Title: Event Poster The image here is a digital poster that I made, based on a friend of mine. However at this time, she isn't doing gigs for a while. The features in the poster include her dad and a family friend of hers that often backed her up during her gigs. This assignment was definitely interesting to make and I learned some neat InDesign tricks in the process!
Title: Book Cover Above is a book cover I submitted to the contest that took place in my class. Everything is originally created by me and I got inspiration from my best friend as well as my mother. I think this really brought out my creativity once I got into the assignment and really got some good ideas!
Title: Magazine Cover Above is a magazine cover I made (for a fake magazine) and I actually liked doing this project more than I thought I would. It is one of the more creative assignments that I knew I would need inspiration for, which is why I started a day late, but then I decided that instead of finding a picture that looked magazine-worthy, that I would use one of my nephew, Wesley. My sister took the picture for me, to show me how much he loved his Christmas present! I figured it isn't the typical magazine, but that is why I like it.
Title: St. Paddy's Poster An event poster for the next upcoming holiday: St. Paddy's Day! This poster is more about typography and placement, rather than content. I strayed a little from the tutorial, because my shamrock is different than the one used in the tutorial. Therefore I had to move a couple things around in order to make it look less awkward, but in my opinion, it still works.
Title: Menu The Images above are the 4 pages of a menu I created. In order from left to right is the cover page, the 2 inside pages and the back cover. I liked this assignment, because one day I might have to create a menu of my own, so it was definitely useful, especially to learn about text wrap.
Title: Resume Above is a digital resume. I mostly used the sample text provided, however I changed a few things and left a few things out. I liked making this, though because i now have experience in making a resume like this one in the future.
Title: Postcard The two images above are the front (left) and back (right) of a postcard I created in InDesign using the instructions and files provided. I changed a few minor details on it, but overall this was a normal assignment, actually easier than usual. I actually thought by the title of it that I would be making a typical postcard, like the ones you get that reference states or cities, not something like a local hang out. In the even that we ever are assigned to make a postcard for Florida, I have a huge selection of pictures to choose from!
